Specifications

Utilizing exactly the same componentry as fitted to our record setting engines, Atomic rebuild kits are ideal to upgrade Ford SOHC 6 cylinder engines to handle big power increases. Available in two configurations (Phase 1 or Phase 11) and various power levels, they comprise the following:

Phase 1 Rebuild Kits

  • Atomic billet conrods - either Superleggera (698kW rated) or FatRods (998kW rated), which both feature pressurized oil feed to gudgeon pin bushes - provides gudgeon pin lubrication and piston crown cooling. FatRods in 998 kits only.
  • Atomic forged or Cosworth F1 forged pistons with coated skirts, pressure fed gudgeon pins and Chrome-Steel turbo ring sets.
  • ACL Competition conrod and main bearings (698 and 998 kits include 360 Degree thrust bearing upgrade)
  • H/Duty gudgeon pins and .063 wire locks
  • Installation instructions
  • Torque specifications list

Phase 2 Rebuild Kits

The Phase 2 kit comprises all of the components in the Phase 1 kits, plus the following:

  • Atomic Steel body billet gear oil pump #306751-S (#306750 oil pump gears only in StreeTorquer 475 and 550 kits)
  • Atomic Race Series gasket and seal kit, including our #306161-MLS-D diesel style MLS Head gasket
  • Atomic Tool Steel 12mm head stud kit and oversize CRMO washers (Tool Steel M14.3mm in 998 kits)
  • Atomic/Power bond SFI approved Harmonic balancer kit, including CRMO washer and High tensile bolt (in 698 and 998 kits only. Atomic/ATI Super damper #306100-ATI available as an upgrade)
  • Atomic main cap girdle #306251 or #306253 (in 698 and 998 kits only)
  • Atomic Extreme Duty Silicon Chrome Vanadium valve springs #306800 - #306802 depending on application (#306810-11-K for SOHC engines includes dual springs and chrome moly retainers)
