Description

The V9X V6 3.0L turbo diesel motor found in the D40 Navara is an impressive unit, producing class-leading torque of 550nm. Fitting the 3? Manta exhaust can take whatÂ’s already a good vehicle, to the next level. Our exhaust replaces the entire factory exhaust system, right from the turbo face, in mandrel bent 3? pipework. The system incorporates a high-flow diesel catalytic converter, and a range of different muffler combinations to ensure you get the right noise level.

In its quietest form, the system has two mufflers, one in each of the last two sections. This keeps the overall noise levels close to stock. There is then the option to change the configuration, including having just a one-muffler system, having just a hotdog, or no muffler at all. This results in a progressively louder exhaust note, such that there is a system to suit every taste. The V6 diesel exhaust note sounds fantastic when unmuffled – a very deep, throaty roar.

Replacing the standard exhaust with the Manta 3” version has a number of benefits, including less turbo lag, greater peak power, more responsiveness, and a reduction in fuel consumption of 1 – 2L/100km for highway driving. Combined with a Sting ECU tune, the Manta exhaust is a great way to safely upgrade the performance of your D40 V6 Navara.
